Order of the Eastern Star presented gifts to the Salmon Arm Safe Society Transition House

Jean Donker, Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Lansdowne Chapter 72, presented 45 ditty bags, or care bags, and 20 lap blankets to the Salmon Arm Safe Society Transition House.

“The handmade bags were filled with toiletries, books, colouring books, crayons and a stuffed toy for each child,” Donker said. “Thank you to the Daughters of the Nile, Shelomi Club 9 of Vernon, who made and donated the lap blankets.”
