When people ask me what I like about Salmon Arm, or what makes it so special, my answer is – and always will be – the people and the community.
It's the friendly greetings in passing on the sidewalk. It's the strangers making silly faces with my children at the grocery store to distract them long enough for me to pay without a meltdown. It's the small business owners and staff who go out of their way to help me find what I need. It's the health-care workers and educators who go the extra mile to care for my family. It's the community members far and wide who volunteer countless hours to make this community a great place to live, work, and play.
And most recently, it's the postal workers who, despite being on strike, made sure that our children's letters to Santa would still be delivered to the North Pole.
Thank you Salmon Arm, you are a truly beautiful place to live.
