They’re back!
Nazareth – the Scottish lads of rock fame will take to the stage at the Shaw Centre Saturday. Just off a European tour, the band, including original members Dan McCafferty and Pete Agnew will take to the stage, at the Shaw Centre.
After 43 years of performing, Scottish rockers continue to draw large crowds.
And with good reason. The star power shines for these energetic ‘lads,’ who howled to a full moon and the biggest audience of the five-day Sturgis North Motorcycle Rally and Music Festival last July.
As lead vocalist Dan McCafferty launched into Big Dogs Gonna Howl from the group’s then-new album Big Dogz.
Backed up by Pete Agnew on bass, his son Lee on drums and Jimmy Murrison on guitar, McCafferty and crew own the stage.
As happy to be singing old iconic anthems like This Flight Tonight and Love Hurts as he is the newer material, McCafferty said the music Nazareth creates relates to real life, with song ideas sparked by everyday events.
Opening for Nazareth is the popular, and until recently, local band, Scarecrow.
Doors open at 7 p.m. and Scarecrow takes over the stage at 8.
