Bird watching is a popular and fun activity as the area is home to many local and migratory species, including bald eagles, kestrels, red tailed hawks, owls, ospreys, swans, ducks, geese, songbirds, and hummingbirds. These many species have provided inspiration for local carvers and their work is available at various retails outlets throughout the area.
