Contest welcomes photographs

The city of Salmon Arm is accepting photographs in this year’s photo contest until 4 p.m. Oct. 17.

Calling all photographers. The city of Salmon Arm is accepting photographs in this year’s photo contest until 4 p.m. Oct. 17.

There will be one grand prize and a total of four prizes in each of the categories: Salmon Arm Outdoors, Active Community, Historical/Innovation/Vision and 17 and under.

The theme must be relevant to local activities or events in one of the four categories.

Photographers should give consideration to the following themes – homes and yards, landscapes, scenery, wildlife, agriculture and rural lifestyle, cityscapes, people, local activities, events, attractions, recreation and sports, holidays, commerce, parks and beaches, etc.

Contestants may submit up to five entries.

A separate contest entry form is required for each photo submitted.

If there are recognizable people, children under the age of majority, copyrighted artwork or private property in a photo, contestants must obtain a signed release form.
