The non-profit Children’s Festival Society held their AGM recently and proceeded with planning for this year’s Canada Day Children’s Festival, to be held at the Salmon Arm Fairgrounds.
Already scheduled to entertain children of all ages are the Kerplunks, who played at Roots and Blues.
The clown group Tickles and Family, Cod Gone Wild, First Nations fancy dancing and storytelling with James Murray will also be featured.
Organizer Karen Bubola says the dance stage is moving inside the arena this year so families can escape the weather, whether it’s too hot or too stormy.
And, as always, there will be great games.
Bubola says the society is looking for people to share their ideas and their time, particularly setting up and tearing down on Canada Day.
