Volunteers at Shuswap SPCA are on track for another enjoyable Scotiabank and BC SPCA Paws for a Cause Walk coming on Saturday, Sept. 10.

All those keen to support the animals are invited to join in that day when people and dogs will walk in the Salmon Arm Fall Fair Parade.

The time to gather at Blackburn Park for registration and refreshments is 9:30 a.m. before joining all the other parade groups. There will be prizes given out at the end of the event for those who have collected the most money.

In advance of the walk, SASCU will be hosting volunteers in Sicamous on Aug. 19, downtown Salmon Arm  on Aug. 26 and uptown on Aug. 27 to promote the Paws for a Cause Walk.

Volunteers will also be in the Mall at Piccadilly on Sept. 9 for those wanting to check in early.

In addition, the Shuswap SPCA is currently out of wet cat food. Any donation, especially of wet kitten food, would be appreciated.
