Get set to boogie on New Year’s Eve with Majesty at Song Sparrow Hall
For its third year in a row, the Celebrate Shuswap Society is set to present a rocking New Year’s Eve Bash at Song Sparrow with Bob Roger’s R&B band, Majesty. Featuring three of the Shuswap’s finest musicians, Majesty is the funk royalty of B.C.'s Interior. They play a wide selection of funk, R&B, ska and a few cool originals thrown in for good measure.
From Stevie Wonder to Peter Gabriel, The Blues Brothers, to Madness, this band plays tunes that are guaranteed to get you out of your seat and dancing. Featuring the fabulous funk princess Lindsay May on vocals, the band is comprised of some of the most talented players from the Okanagan, Shuswap and Kootenays. Funking it up behind Lindsay are Gareth Seys on drums, Shannon Sternloff on bass, Colin Spence on keyboards, Jordan Dick on guitar, Bob Rogers, on trombone and Krispin Elder on sax.
Born and raised in Vancouver, trombonist and educator Bob Rogers has both a Bachelor of Music Degree at UBC and a Master of Music degree in trombone performance.
