Canadian folk/country trio the Good Lovelies will be performing music from their latest Juno-nominated release when they play Salmon Arm later this year.
Consisting of Caroline Brooks, Kerri Ough and Sue Passmore, the Good Lovelies’ self-titled album won Roots & Traditional Album of the year at the 2010 Juno Awards. Nominated for Contemporary Roots Album of the Year at the 2024 Juno Awards, the band’s latest release, We Will Never Be the Same, focuses on the rich complexity of life.
“The songs on We Will Never Be the Same are as compelling as the engaging vocal harmonies for which the group has been known throughout their career,” reads the Juno Awards write-up for the album. “It is a testament not only to their artistry, but also their humanity, and is an album that will continue to endear this beloved group to fans of all ages.”
This is the group’s fifth full-length studio album adding to a widely acclaimed catalogue, and to a popular concert repertoire as they return to venues throughout North America, including Song Sparrow Hall on Saturday, Nov. 9.
Presented by Theatre Junkie, doors for the licensed, all-ages show open at 6:30 p.m. with showtime at 7. Tickets go on sale on May 23. For information, visit songsparrowhall.ca.
