Drivers filling up in Salmon Arm on Wednesday morning may have experienced some sticker shock, with the price per litre of regular having jumped by 20 cents from the weekend low of $1.39.9.
The spike was seen at several of the city’s service stations on Feb. 7, though at one station the cost per litre was down to $137.9. On the same morning, gas could be purchased in Vernon for $1.43.9, though it had jumped up to $1.59.9 at several stations the day prior. In Kelowna, $1.51.9 was the most being charged per litre of regular. In Enderby, drivers could still fuel up for $1.39.9. Meanwhile, in Vancouver, the price was as high as $1.65.9.
