Lakefront activities at the Sicamous Family Fun Day were the perfect antidote for the heat on Saturday.
The annual event, hosted by the District of Sicamous and the Sicamous Chamber of Commerce, was held at the Beach Park on Aug. 3, with a schedule of events for the young and young at heart.
The cardboard boat race, the anchor activity, had a variety of homemade vessels that competed with varying levels of success with new and returning captains taking the helm.
The day also included a Sandcastle Competition, Backyard Olympics, vendors, a community barbecue and dinosaurs.
