Things are heating up with the provincial election approaching, and Sicamous voters are invited to ask the burning questions and address the hot topics.
The Sicamous Chamber of Commerce is currently accepting questions to pose to the candidates in the running for the Salmon Arm-Shuswap riding.
The all-candidates forum will be held in the district office on Thursday, Oct. 10 at 6:30 p.m., with everyone welcome to attend to learn more about the contenders and what they represent. That includes David Williams with the BC Conservatives, Jed Wiebe with the BC Green Party, Sylvia Lindgren with the BC NDP and Independent – formerly with BC United – Greg McCune, with all confirmed to be in attendance at this point.
Questions must be submitted by Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 4:30 p.m. in person at the district office lobby or by email to chamber executive director Sheila Devost at sheila@sicamouschamber.bc.ca. All questions must be received in advance of the meeting but will not be shared with the candidates prior to that night, with no questions taken from the floor at that time.
