A Tappen man’s vehicle was towed following a visit from police at the Sicamous BC Ambulance station.
On May 15 at 5:30 p.m. Sicamous RCMP observed an old SUV “in poor shape” driving near the police station on Paradise Avenue.
“The driver immediately pulled into the BC Ambulance parking lot as the police vehicle turned in behind him,” Sgt. Murray McNeil said in a press release. “The driver, a man from Tappen, could provide no reason for his visit to the ambulance staff-only parking area.”
In doing a check, the officer found a trifecta of violations including the SUV not having insurance and the licence plates registered to a different vehicle, while the man’s drivers licence was expired as well. The vehicle was towed and the driver served with tickets for no insurance and no drivers licence, and “an inspection was ordered on the SUV due to numerous noted defects.”
