Kael Svenson, the newly acquired goalie for the Sicamous Eagles, has already delivered a winning performance of 4-0 with the team.

Not much gets past the recently acquired Kael Svenson, 18, who is already making his mark in net for the Sicamous Eagles.

The Calgary native donned the Eagles jersey on Nov. 13 after being picked up from the Whitecourt Wolverines, and has already delivered a win in all four games he's played with the team. In the last three games he blocked 100 of 106 shots and posted a .943 save percentage with a 2.00 goals against average. Svenson stopped 31 of 33 in the 6-2 win over the Osoyoos Coyotes Nov. 20, then 29 of 31 in a 5-2 win against the Merritt Centennials Nov. 22, then delivered a 40-save performance for another 5-2 win against the Cents.

"He made a lot of big saves, but also a lot of really timely saves," Eagles head coach and general manager Liam McOnie said in a media release. "I think back to our game in Osoyoos. We were down 2-0 early, but he still made a few really big timely saves in the first period to keep it at 2-0. He continued giving us a chance in that game. It was the same with the games on Friday and Saturday. He kept a level head and made a lot of calm saves."

In four games, Svenson is 4-0 with a 1.98 GAA and a .942 SP.
