The Sicamous Eagles scored a 5-2 win against the Merritt Centennials Friday night with the home ice advantage.

The Sicamous Eagles are on a three-game streak after winning the first of two back-to-back matches against the Merritt Centennials on Friday, Nov. 22.

With the home ice advantage, the Eagles (20-10-6-4) soared to a 5-2 final against the Cents (21-11-7-2), who sit one spot above them in third in the Bill Ohlhausesn Division.

The Centennials got on the board first, but the Eagles made a more dramatic entrance to the game when Dylan Konschuh scored on a power play at the 19:47 mark, assisted by Ashton Angle and Walker Overwater. Carrying that flare into the second, Reyd Langan hit the net just 15 seconds in, with the same line up assisting him.

From there Sicamous owned the frame, potting two more from Maguire Nicholson and Angle, with Josh Missfeldt, Hayden Evans and Overwater adding assists.

The Cents tried to stage a comeback, scoring on a late frame power play before pulling their goalie, allowing Konschuh to bookend the game with an empty netter for his second of the night, assisted by Angle.

The team now travels to Merritt for the rematch tonight, Nov. 23, with the puck drop at 7 p.m.
