With the Eagles Nest no longer being leased by the team, the Sicamous Eagles are looking for billet nests to host the players for the upcoming season.
Billet parents become the guardians of the players in their home, who are between 16 and 20 years old, and are responsible for their well-being. They must be provided with a bed, dresser and/or closet, a pillow, blankets and towels. Additionally they should also have internet access as many players bring computers and gaming consoles with them. Meals and snacks must also be provided, with players requiring a lot of calories throughout the day.
In turn, billets must follow house rules as well as the team's code of conduct, which includes attending classes and maintaining their grades if school aged, and abstaining from alcohol.
Billet homes will be paid $750 at the start of each month to help offset costs, as well as season's passes to see their billet kids in action.
Further information on the rules and requirements can be found on the team website at sicamouseagles.com. For other questions or to become a billet home, contact Tricia Jeffery at 250-833-8261 or triciaanddwain@hotmail.com.
