The Columbia Shuswap Regional District board agreed to extend the agreement for services to the Little Shuswap Indian Band

The Columbia Shuswap Regional District board agreed to extend the agreement for services to the Little Shuswap Indian Band.

Services will include recycling and refuse disposal, milfoil and weed control, emergency preparedness, economic development, tourism, film commission, 911 emergency dispatch and the North Okanagan Columbia Shuswap Regional Hospital District on both taxable and non-taxable lands.

The agreement,ill be maintained for a five-year term.

Salmon Arm Mayor Nancy Cooper stressed the importance of being good neighbours to area bands and announced the city will celebrate National Aboriginal Day by hosting a local Aboriginal Day on Sunday, June 21.
