Caps' spoil parents night for 'Backs

Parents of the Silverbacks are in town this week to cheer on their kids in a weekend double header at the Shaw Centre.

The pair of weekend games was kicked off against the visiting Cowichan Valley Capitals.

The Caps got on the board first, before Justin Wilson answered back quickly to knot the game at one a piece. Both sides traded goals, but the Caps got one more taking a 3-2 lead into the second frame.

The visitors scored two more answered goals on the evening in the second and third to spoil Parent's Night at the Shaw Centre.

The 'Back will return to the ice in less than 24 hours to host the Wenatchee Wild in and afternoon matinee. Puck drop is at 3 p.m. followed by a free skate with the 'Backs.
