Coroner identifies victim in Salmon River Bridge crash

The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died after a motor vehicle incident in Salmon Arm on March 5.

He was Jonah Jessie Daniel Nanosh Triton Kosowan, aged 24, of Calgary.

Kosowan was the driver and sole occupant of a car that was in a collision with a half-ton truck on the Salmon River Bridge on the Trans-Canada Highway in Salmon Arm, at about 7:45 a.m. on March 5, 2016. He died at the scene.

A 51-year-old Salmon Arm man who was driving the pick-up truck remains in hospital after being airlifted from the scene to Kamloops.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate this death.
