As local government, we are charged with providing services and maintenance for the citizens of our community.
City Council is merely a voice for the citizens of that community. There is a delicate balance between providing those services and being accountable to each citizen so that they are not over-charged.
Councils have consistently increased taxes every year. This is a trend that needs to be reversed.
Going forward we will all need to work together to search out new sources of tax revenue as well as prioritizing current services and if needed, we may have to reduce some services.
