The city’s Greenways Liaison Committee earned kudos from city council for its work on planning and creating trails

The city’s Greenways Liaison Committee earned kudos from city council for its work on planning and creating trails. Coun. Chad Eliason pointed to the more than 700 entrants in the Salty Dog bike races as well as the upcoming Singletrack 6 event that was attracted to the area’s trail system.

Even the bike racks around the city contribute to its popularity as a place to live and visit, he said, which in turn brings monetary benefits.

“So we’re now seeing the intangible becoming tangible.”
