Dates set for child porn case

A man accused of child pornography charges will have a decision about whether the case will go to trial after a preliminary inquiry in April, 2012.

A man accused of child pornography charges will have a decision about whether the case will go to trial after a preliminary inquiry in April, 2012.

Bruce Darcy Abar, 50 , of Salmon Arm is facing one charge of possession of child pornography and one charge of importing or distributing child pornography on Jan. 9. He was charged in May.

At the preliminary inquiry, a judge will hear the case against Abar and make a determination if it should proceed to trial. This is set for April 2 and 3 in Salmon Arm Provincial Court.

Abar’s next court appearance to confirm the hearing will be Feb. 28, 2012.
