The Observer learned that the Conservative buses that drove through Salmon Arm Friday afternoon did not include the Stephen Harper, but transporting members of his campaign team and media who are covering the Conservative leader during the election.
These team members do the work at engagements sites prior to Harper's arrival.
Communication officers say rather than busing it, Harper flies to most of his campaign engagements in order to maximize the number of events he can attend, although he does travel by bus if it is the most practical and efficient option.
