Despite the extreme fire hazard, people attending a bush party left a large fire burning on Aug. 11 on Shaw Road near Lashburn Road. When police arrived to the complaint, they found no people, but two vehicles and the fire still burning. RCMP called the fire department to extinguish the fire. They remind people it is extremely dangerous to leave fires unattended, especially in hot summer weather.
