The fire is said to be human caused.
The fire did not grow past the initial estimate of 0.009 hectares.

A spot fire is being reported by the BC Wildfire Service.
The blaze is near Westside Road at Quilpitik Creek, between Nahun and Fintry.
The fire was discovered at 7:42 p.m.
It is estimated to be 0.009 hectares.
