Salmon Arm RCMP arrested a man for possession of stolen property on Friday, Aug. 2 after he took a stolen iPad to a local business in an attempt to have it unlocked.
The owner of the device, which had been stolen the previous day, happened to be in the store and recognized the iPad as his.
Police responded immediately and arrested the man, who is a well-known offender from Vancouver Island.
He has been held in custody pending a court appearance.
