With 55 polls reporting, the Liberal Greg Kyllo's lead is enough to declare him elected in the Shuswap riding.
Kyllo will continue the Liberal trend in the Shuswap riding, which has been held since 1996 by the BC Liberal Party, previously with MLA George Abbott.
The Shuswap has voted for the NDP three times in the past, but has otherwise supported right-wing parties.
