A man is facing charges of taking a motor vehicle without consent after allegedly helping himself to a vehicle in Pritchard.

Chase RCMP report that on March 9 they received a report of a vehicle stolen from a residence on Gerella Road. Later that day the suspect returned the vehicle to the residence and left in an unregistered truck.

Police located the truck on Kamloops Shuswap Road and arrested the suspect without incident.

In addition to taking a vehicle without consent, the 46-year-old man from the Chase area is facing charges of operating a motor vehicle while prohibited, possession of a controlled substance, and failing to comply with probation.

He will appear in BC Provincial Court in Kamloops next week.
