A multi-vehicle collision on the Trans-Canada Highway has been reported west of Salmon Arm towards Glen Eden near Sandy Point Road.

A Silver SUV and a yellow pickup truck were both involved in the incident, ending up partially in the ditch on opposite sides of the highway after the collision.

Emergency crews are on site and traffic on the Trans-Canada Highway is moving in both directions, although delays should be expected as crews continue to work on scene.

One vehicle has been moved out of harm’s way, while work continues as tow trucks retrieve the second vehicle.

At least one occupant is being transported by ambulance crews.

The Observer has sent a reporter to the site of the collision, more information to come.
