Police bust grow ops near Salmon Arm

Four hundred marijuana plants seized and two males arrested after police search property in Tappen.

Two males are in custody and 400 pot plants have been seized after police raided two grow-ups on one property Wednesday.

Salmon Arm RCMP Staff Sgt. Kevin Keane reports in a press release that the police drug section executed a search warrant on a residence on Vella Road in Tappen on Wednesday, Feb. 8.

"Two marijuana grow operations were discovered in two buildings on the property. Over 400 marijuana plants were found and seized," Keane states.

Two males were arrested at the scene and their names will not be released until Crown counsel approves charges.

"If anyone has any information on this file or any other criminal activity in the Salmon Arm area, they are to call the Salmon Arm detachment at 250-832-6044 or Crimestoppers," Keane writes.
