Update Nov. 3, 3 p.m.
RCMP confirmed one person was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after a shooting in West Kelowna late Friday night (Nov. 1).
West Kelowna RCMP were called to the 3200-block of Boucherie Road at approximately 11:45 p.m. with the report of a shooting.
Upon arrival one person was found with injuries and transported to hospital.
While investigating the scene of the shooting, RCMP received reports of a vehicle fire in the area of Lenz Road. Responding officers found a black Dodge Durango fully engulfed in flames.
“Based on the short time delay between the two incidents and the totality of the evidence at the scenes, it is believed that the incidents are related," said Media Relations Officer Sgt. Judith Bertrand.
The shooting is believed to be targeted and police say there is no risk to the public.
West Kelowna RCMP is asking the public to check for dashcam footage of a black Dodge Durango between 11:45 p.m. and 12:15 a.m. on Nov. 1 in the areas of Rose Meadow Road, Bartley Road, Lenz Road or East Boundary Road.
UPDATE: 8:42 a.m.
A residence at 3218 Boucherie Road has been cordoned off with police tape following an incident on Nov. 1 that had RCMP close down the area for hours.
At least two RCMP vehicles remained on scene at 8:50 a.m. Nov.2.

The 3200 block of Boucherie Road in West Kelowna was closed for several hours due to a police incident.
According to Sgt. Judith Bertrand, RCMP closed Boucherie between Montigni Road and Sunnyside Road between 11:45 p.m. Nov. 1 until 4 a.m. Nov 2.
RCMP are not sharing further details about the incident, however, asked pedestrians and vehicles to avoid the area as investigators were on scene.
According to witnesses police were still in the area at 7 a.m.
