Police seize cache of guns, marijuana in Celista

Chase detachment executed a search warrant at a residence on Leopold Road in Celista.

Guns and drugs were seized in Celista earlier this week.

On Dec. 4, Chase detachment, with the assistance of the Salmon Arm detachment and Kamloops Police Dog Services, executed a search warrant at a residence on Leopold Road in Celista. Located in the home were numerous guns, including some that were loaded and improperly stored, report police. Also located  was a marijuana grow operation in various stages of cultivation. Two hundred and thirty-nine marijuana plants were seized along with other equipment used in the cultivation process. Investigators are continuing with their work, and charges are pending.
