Salmon Arm RCMP have taken down their second marijuana grow op in as many days this week.

Following their dismantling of a "massive" marijuana grow operation in Tappen on Wednesday, members of the Sicamous RCMP detachment were over in Blind Bay on Thursday, where they executed a warrant in the 2600 block of Blind Bay Crescent. The search yielded a marijuana grow of 703 plants in various stages of growth.

Salmon Arm Staff Sgt. Kevin Keane says the operation was being powered by electricity stolen through a hydro bypass. He says the electrical system was found to be unsafe, and power to the property was shut off.

The investigation is ongoing.
