UPDATE: Semi flips on Highway 1

A semi-trailer has flipped between Chase and Salmon Arm on Highway 1.

UPDATE: July 25

The driver of a Kenworth tractor and trailer was issued a traffic violation ticket for driving without due care, after a rolling the vehicle on Highway 1.

The westbound white Kenworthdrove off the road into the no post barriers, which caused the truck to roll onto its passenger side at Lindberg Road in Sorrento.

Traffic along Highway 1 was backed up for sometime while police, BC Ambulance and road maintenance attended the scene.

A semi-trailer is flipped over on Highway 1 between Salmon Arm and Chase.

Emergency crews are on scene.

The incident happened just after 5 p.m, Monday evening.

At least one lane of Highway 1 is closed and traffic is backed up in both direction.

Closer to Salmon Arm another incident has closed Highway 1 at 30th Street North East. Two people are trapped after a semi-trailer collided with a car.
