Shuswap Lake levels surpass 1997 flooding mark

The level of Shuswap Lake was measured at 349.361 m at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 23, which was a one-day change of 7.5 cm.

Shuswap Lake rose another 7.5 cm on Saturday, now surpassing both the 1997 and 1999 flooding marks.

The level of Shuswap Lake was measured at 349.361 m at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 23, which was a one-day change of 7.5 cm.

The 1997 flood level was 349.320 and the 1999 flood level was 349.218.

The 1972 lake level, which was one of the most severe flooding years, saw Shuswap Lake come up to 349.660.

The lake is predicted to continue to rise for another three to four more days, and additional rain is in the forecast for today and into next week.
