Summer temperatures predicted for today

According to Environment Canada, it’s a T-shirts and sunscreen kind of day.

Spring appears to be arriving with gusto.

Believe it or not, the temperature high expected today from Environment Canada for Salmon Arm and Sicamous is 24 C, feeling like 26 to 29 with humidity. It’ll be a mainly sunny day with the UV index up to seven or higher.

Tonight, it’s mainly cloudy with 30 per cent chance of showers. Showers predicted before morning and there’s a risk of thunderstorms this evening and overnight. Low of nine.

Friday, May 5, temperatures drop and showers with thunderstorms are on the menu. Amount of rain predicted: 10 to 20 mm with a high of 17 degrees.

Friday night, its showers and a low of eight.

Saturday, more clouds with a 30 per cent chance of showers and a high of 15.

Saturday night, cloudy periods with a 30 per cent chance of showers. Low six.

But Sunday, May 7, the sun returns, with a high of 19.

Monday, May 8, it’s a mix of sun and cloud but the highs rise to 22.

Temperatures are then predicted to stay in the low 20s, with Tuesday, May 9 a mix of sun and cloud and a high of 23.

The same for Wednesday, sun and cloud and a high of 24.
