Swimming is still not recommended at Coldstream's Kal Beach due to high levels of fecal bacteria detected in the water.
The District of Coldstream first issued a swimming advisory Aug. 26 due to high bacteriological counts found in the water at various locations in the swim area.
On Friday, the district said the swimming advisory remains in effect, as the water still isn't suitable for swimming.
"The fecal indicator bacteria levels exceed the Guidelines for Canadian Recreational Water Quality," the district said.
The district will continue to submit water samples to Interior Health, and once the health authority confirms bacteria levels have returned to acceptable levels, the swimming advisory will be lifted.
