Tentative deal reached to end teachers' strike

A start date for schools to open has not been set.

A tentative deal has been reached in the B.C. public school teachers' strike.

But a ratification vote by teachers is still required and the final details still have to be worked out, so a start date for schools has not been set.

Details of the agreement have not yet been made public.

The breakthrough in negotiations between the B.C. Teachers' Federation and the B.C. Public School Employers' Association was announced at 4 a.m. this morning.

More to come.
