A Salmon Arm man has been charged with possession and distribution of child pornography.
After a scheduled May 25 court appearance, 50-year-old Bruce Darcy Abar will return to Provincial Court in Salmon Arm on June 21 to face one count of possession of child pornography and one of distribution of child pornography.
He was arrested along with an adult woman in a residence in southeast Salmon Arm on April 26. Officers also seized several computers and discs from the residence. The woman has not been charged.
The arrests stem from an investigation that began on March 11, when Salmon Arm RCMP received information from the RCMP Integrated Child Exploitation Unit that they had completed an investigation in regards to a Salmon Arm man who was in possession of child pornography.
Salmon Arm RCMP investigators followed up on the information and a search warrant was obtained.
