Abram (Abe) Klassen died suddenly in Shuswap Lake General Hospital, Salmon Arm, BC on January 30, 2008 at the age of 73 years.

The Celebration of Life service was held from the Sicamous Bible Church on Monday, February 4th at 11 a.m. with Capreece Bowers officiating. Tributes were shared by Abe’s son Dwayne, and family and interment followed at Solsqua Cemetery.

Abe was born in Lowe Farm, Manitoba on January 16, 1935. He moved to Sicamous in 1975. He is well remembered for his love of life, senese of humour and enjoyment of his family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Abe was well respected for his expertise as an operating manager throughout his 50 yearw career in the construction industry.

Abe was predeceased by his parents, Isaac and Aganetha, brother, Isaac; sisters, Lily, Nettie, Tina and Mary; and great-granddaughter, Dannicka Lynn Warmenhoven. Abes leaves his loving family, wife of 48 years, Elleanor; five children, Gordon (Vicky), Elleanor (Izaac) Warmenhoven, Dwane (Melissa), Sharon (Carey) Metcalf, Patricia (Marshall) Lee; 13 grandchildren, Blake, Jason, Curtis, Jesse (Kristi), Natasha (Mike), Shawn, Richard, Jeff (Crissy), Melissa, Kelsey, Mark, Mackenzie, and Kabe; 2 great-grandchildren, Kayden and Brayden; two sisters, Anna from Lowe Frm, Manitoba, and Suzie from Altona, MB; two brothers, Phil (Linda) of Edmonton, and Ed (Margaret) of Armstrong; and numerous nieces and nephews.
