Mr. Alan Croft passed away peacefully in Bastion Place, Salmon Arm, BC in the early hours of Sunday, November 18, 2007 at the age of 85 years.
A Requiem Mass was held from St. John’s the Evangelist Anglican Church, Salmon Arm on Saturday afternoon, November 24th at 2:00 p.m. with the Reverend Doctor Ted Celiz officiating. Interment followed in Mt. Ida Cemetery.
Born in Glossop, Derbyshire, England on November 4, 1922, Alan lived a full life in England. He worked as a driver for several levels of government and was a volunteer fireman, which gave him great joy of accomplishment. He moved to Canada in 1985 and has lived in Salmon Arm since 1994.
He is well remembered for his dedication to his wife, Joan, a patient in Bastion Place. Alan leaves his wife; loving children, daughter Maureen (John) Steen of Blind Bay and son Peter (Dale) Croft of San Diego, CA; three grandchildren, Kyle, Ceri and Adele; six great grandchildren, Robert, Nicole, Kimberlie, Breton, Hadrian and Atlyn.
