It is with great sadness that the family of Albert ("Bert") Van Den Ham announces his passing, on Thursday, February 13, 2020, just days before his 91st birthday. Bert was predeceased by his wife, Roberta ("Bobbie") and parents, Amy and Arie Van Den Ham, and will be lovingly remembered by his children, Janice (Richard), Sandra, Shelley, and Donna. Bert will also be fondly remembered by his three grandchildren, Amy, Ali, and Carson, and by brother-in-law Clynt (Kathy).
Born in Prince Albert, Sask, Bert spent most of his life in the lower mainland of B.C., and at time of passing was living in Salmon Arm. Pursuing his passion, he spent his lifetime involved in aviation, retiring from the Dept of Transport.
A visitation and hour of fellowship will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at 10:30 am, at the Valley View Funeral Home, 14644 - 72nd Ave, Surrey, B.C. Interment followed at the family plot at Valley View Cemetery. A celebration of life will take place in Salmon Arm on Friday, February 21st.
Bert was an animal lover, with a special aff ection for Chihuahuas. Those who so desire may make memorial donations in memory of Bert to the BC SPCA Shuswap Branch, 5850 Auto Rd SE, Salmon Arm, B.C. V1E 2X2.
