On April 23, 2009 Alice Irene Gordon, a long time resident of Chase, passed away peacefully at the age of 83 years. She is survived by her three children, Don (Juanita) of Blind Bay, Jean (Duane) Toker of Kamloops and Bill of Toronto, grandchildren Jay and Desmond Gordon, Barbara Nicholl, Terry Bray, Alicia Gordon; one great grandchild Sarah, step great grandchildren Wade and Trinity Nicholl.
Also left to cherish her memory are her brother Arnold (Stephanie) Miller and four sisters Edna Harmel, Leona Fritzke, Eileen Miller and Lavina Hait, several nieces, nephews and extended family. Alice was predeceased by her husband Len in 1993, and by three brothers Edward, Wilfred and Rudy and three sisters Ruth, Holdina and Evelyn.
Alice was active in her church and her community and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the St. Andrews & All Saints Church, Chase with Reverend Bob Crosby officiating.
