Alice Verna Fleming (nee Smith)

May 7, 1920 – December 31, 2018
Alice Verna Fleming, (nee Smith), passed away December 31, 2018, at the Shuswap Lake General Hospital, Salmon Arm, BC. Born May 7, 1920, in Hartland, NB. She grew up in New Brunswick, later moving to Quebec, and then in 1944, moved to Salmon Arm, BC. Alice was predeceased by her husband, George Fleming, children Paul and David Fleming, and grandchildren Antony and James Fleming.

She is survived by children George (Janet) Fleming, Katherine Allk, William (Virginia) Fleming and daughter-in-law Patricia Fleming. Alice is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by one step-son, Joseph (Carol), and many step grandchildren, step great grandchildren and step great-great- grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Dr. J. Aitchison and the nurses and staff at Shuswap Lake General Hospital for the wonderful care they gave to Alice.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 pm, May 4, 2019 at Crossroads Free Methodist Church, 121 Shuswap St. SW, Salmon Arm, BC.

A reception will follow the service in the Church Hall allowing family members and friends to continue sharing memories.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Crossroads Free Methodist Church to be designated for Missions.
