Al Wright died suddenly at Shuswap Lake General Hospital, Salmon Arm on January 30, 2010 at the age of 69.
Allan was born in Vernon, BC on January 6, 1941. He was predeceased by his parents Agnes and Lawrence, brothers Bill, Jerry, Pete and Frank, sisters Irene, Ida and Audrey. Allan is survived by his daughter Michaella, sister Agnes, brother Ernie as well as many nieces and nephews.
Allan lived in the Salmon Arm/Canoe area all of his life. He worked at the mill in Canoe and then moved on to building houses. Allan was in the fruit business for the past 35 years. He was a gentle giant with a kind heart and will be sadly missed by all his friends and family.
A funeral service and reception will be held on Friday, January 12, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. from Fischer’s Funeral Services with Pastor Norm Russell officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Ida Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Allan’s name may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or BC Children’s Hospital.
