March 18, 1931 - September 4, 2019
Anna (Ann) Visser passed away peacefully during a short stay at the Shuswap Lake General Hospital in Salmon Arm.
Ann was Born in Geneva, Minnesota on March 18, 1931 to Eltje and Grace Meelker. She was the eldest of 5 girls and grew up in a Christian home which molded her for the rest of her life. She grew up in California where she met a traveling Dutchman, Al Visser, who she later married on Christmas eve, 1963. They settled in Salmon Arm and have been in the area ever since. She never had any children of her own but many in Salmon Arm and her numerous church communities benefitted from her and Al's generosity and love. In her later years she slowed down, no longer active but staying true to her faith. She longed to be with her Lord and now is at peace with Him.
Special thanks to the staff at Shuswap Lodge for their support and care for Ann for the past 3 years.
A service was held at Bowers Funeral chapel on Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2019 and interment followed in the Shuswap Memorial Cemetery, Salmon Arm, BC.
Online condolences may be sent to her husband, Al through Anna's obituary at www.bowersfuneralservice.com
