April 12, 1925 - March 17, 2019
On March 17th, Anne Halverson (nee Bullen) passed away with pneumonia, a complication of Alzheimer's disease, just short of her 94th birthday. Anne was predeceased by her husband Ron, infant twin boys, daughter Laura, brothers Sandy and John and grandson Lee. She will be sadly missed by children Sue (David), Linda, Margaret (Kurt) and Brent (Julie) and her brother, Jim (Chris).

Anne was a loving grandmother to Mike, Ashley, Jamie Lee, Michelle, Matthew, and Kate. She was excited to be a great grandma to Ashton and Kai.

Anne was born in Pouce Coupe, BC. She met and married Ronald and raised their 5 children in Dawson Creek. Anne became the primary wage earner when Ron was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in the early 1970s. As Ron's Parkinson's progressed, Anne learned all she could about the disease which resulted in a trip to Sweden for a brain surgery that Canadian doctors advised against. Surgery was successful and is now performed in both the United States and Canada. With limited financial resources, Anne managed to provide piano lessons and when necessary tutoring for her children when needed. She was most proud that each of her children completed university degrees.

Anne worked with the Postal Service first in Dawson Creek and then in Salmon Arm. At the time of her retirement in 1989, she was the assistant post-mistress in the Kelowna branch. Shortly after, Anne and Ron moved to Tsawwassen to be closer to their children. Anne's children remember the many holiday celebrations in their home. She enjoyed baking, making jam, gardening, golfing, learning to play the piano and going to the gym.

Anne was a kind, selfless and devoted wife, sister, mother and grandmother. She will be remembered for the extraordinary love and care she gave her family.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 28th at 1:30 pm at St. Phillips Anglican Church located at 3737 West 27th Avenue in Vancouver.
