After a brief illness, Barbara Holbrook died in Kelowna General Hospital on Wednesday, Jan. 27. Barbara was born in 1927 in Gooding, Idaho and was raised in Oregon and California. She, with her family, emigrated to Canada in 1969 and had lived in Salmon Arm for the past 40 years. She leaves her husband, Vinson Holbrook of Salmon Arm, her daughter Lisa Holbrook of Salmon Arm, her daughter Sara Holbrook (Douglas Mongerson) of Tappen, granddaughters Chloe Mongerson and Althea Mongerson of Edmonton, AB, her son Jason Holbrook (Joanne) of Nanoose Bay, B.C., her son Patrick Holbrook of Campbell River, B.C., grandsons Tyson Holbrook and Chace Holbrook of Campbell River, and her son Michael Holbrook of California.
There will be no funerary or memorial observances at Barbara’s request.
