June 25, 1940 - August 3, 2019
On August 3rd, 2019 we reluctantly bid farewell to our beautiful Mom, Barbara Lynne Angrignon.
Barb was born in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan on June 25,1940. She married Ed in 1958, and together they lived a life of adventure for 60 years; raising kids, travelling the world, kayaking and camping, exploring by motorcycle, power and sailboat, motorhome and bicycle. Mom loved her family, her friends, reading, nature, babies, animals, and her car (nobody could miss her "So Hapi" licence plate!). Her creative talents became
obvious when she started painting and amazed all of us with her keen eye and natural talent as an artist.
Growing up, our home was filled with the aromas of Mom's fresh baked bread, roast beef dinners, homemade soups, cookies, apple pies, and preserves. Together with Mom's infectious laughter and wacky sense of humour, it was a home full of love and comfort.
Barb was a force to be reckoned with; she was the first person to show up when you needed her most and would stick around to the bitter end. When she decided something needed to be done, there was no escaping becoming a part of the effort. Barb's legacy of community support, fundraising, and selfless generosity to anyone who crossed her path is far reaching and has left some big shoes to fill. She spent the better
part of the last 20 years intimately involved with the Shuswap Lake General Hospital Auxiliary, as well as volunteering in the chemo ward. More recently she volunteered at the CMHA thrift shop, and was "Gramma Barbie" to three special little girls she helped care for.
Barb is survived by her daughter, Tracy (Kim), sons Russ (Delena) and Troy (Brian); three grandsons, Matt (April), Jason (Kim) and Brad (Amy), and three great grandchildren, whom she adored. She is also survived by her sister, one brother, many nieces, nephews and in-laws. She was predeceased by her parents, a newborn son and our Dad.
No service by request. Donations to the Shuswap Hospital Foundation in memory of Mom would be much appreciated. http://www.shuswaphospitalfoundation.org
