We are heartbroken to announce that Catherine Mitchell (Hudson) age 59 of Campbell River ended her struggle on February 25, 2020 after a long and courageous battle with her mental health.
Cathy is preceded by William Mitchell (father), Olive Edgar (mother), and William Mitchell (brother). Cathy is survive by siblings Bob and Peggy, daughters Erika (Adam), Erin (Todd), and Danielle, grandchildren Dylan, Ashton, Carter, Hayden, Chase and Kennedy, nieces and nephews Amanda, Carrie, Jake, Kayla, Ryan, Kyle and Erik, as well as many other beloved family and friends.
Cathy was born November 2,1960 in Beaverlodge, AB. For the last decade she lovingly supported children and families with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Not only was this her chosen career, it was her life's passion and developing unique connections brought her an immense amount of joy.
The service in her memory will be held at 2:00 pm on March 14 at the Campbell River United Church, followed by a gathering in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honour to an Autism or Mental Health Organization of your choice.
